BIOGRAPHY OF PASTOR NATASHA FICK

Personal Life and Family

Natasha Fick has been married to Jaco Fick for nearly 27 years. She is the proud mother of four daughters, with the two youngest being twins, and she cherishes her seven grandchildren deeply. Natasha enjoys spending quality time with her family and has a special affection for her grandchildren. Her love also extends to her pets, including her dogs and cats. Cooking, baking, and writing books are among her passions, with a particular joy in telling and sharing people's stories. Natasha finds peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially at the beach.

Faith and Ministry

Natasha is a born again Christian who loves the Lord wholeheartedly. She is an Ordained Pastor, motivational speaker, singer, songwriter, television presenter, multi-award-winning author, entrepreneur, and CEO. Her career in broadcasting includes being an ex-radio presenter at Disa 95.9 FM, a Christian community radio station in the Overberg. For almost seven years, she managed the lunchtime slot from 12:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, and worked at the station for nearly 12 years, starting just after its launch as an internet Christian radio station. Presenting quickly became a passion, and Natasha’s love for people and conversation was often humorously remarked upon by her second eldest daughter, who said she had chosen the perfect profession.

Entrepreneurial Ventures and Advocacy

Natasha is the founder and CEO of Women After God’s Own Heart, an organisation with the slogan: "To be whom God had Called us to be," serving women from all walks of life. She is dedicated to helping women and children fulfil their purpose and calling, inspiring them to become who God created them to be. Natasha also founded Women Who Has Gone Through the Fire, a group that has published three books featuring stories of nearly 60 women who overcame abuse, rape, sickness, and other hardships. She is the owner of Nat’s Devine Connections and the CEO and Founder of Radio Nuwe Begin (Waar elke siel).

Music and Broadcasting Achievements

In 2017, Natasha wrote and recorded her first song, ‘Lelie van die Dale,’ which aired on Kruiskyk Television. She published her first Daily Devotional in 2020 and hosted a weekly radio programme, ‘Voluit Vrou,’ encouraging listeners to fulfil their purpose and calling. In 2020, she contributed a Christmas song, ‘It’s Christmas Time,’ to the Christmas with Friends album and later featured on another Christmas album with her own song, "It's All About Christ," written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Television Endeavours

In March 2021, Natasha launched the television programme ‘Mense en Hul Stories’ during a difficult time when her husband was ill with Covid-19. Inspired by God to share testimonies of faith and miracles, she began recording episodes at home with the help of her family. Ettienne Goliath offered her the opportunity to air the show on Onse TV, and Natasha remains grateful for his support. The programme, which brings hope to viewers by sharing what the Lord has done in people’s lives, has reached thousands—if not millions—through YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. Her obedience to God’s direction has been a cornerstone of this ministry. ‘Mense en Hul Stories’ has received awards and aired on multiple platforms, including Onse TV, CTV, DSTV, and Life CBN Internet TV, with the fourth season currently in progress.

Awards and Writing

Natasha has been recognised as a nominee for the Ukohonukamva Music Awards in 2019 as a Public Speaker and in 2020 as a Radio Presenter. She believes in working wholeheartedly and is convinced that God is the God of second chances. Natasha began writing her autobiography, "My Life, My Story—Against All Odds," in 2019, completing it in two years while undergoing a personal healing journey. The book received an award, and its release coincided with the airing of her television series and the launch of her YouTube channel. Natasha credits her achievements to God’s grace and her husband's unwavering support.

Prophetic Calling and Education

Upon turning 40, Natasha received a prophecy from the late Apostle Stage, proclaiming her as part of the tribe of Joseph, blessed with many talents. In 2018, she felt called to complete a Pastoral course, despite already holding a Bachelor's degree in Theology and having completed her first year in Christian counselling. With her husband’s support, she embarked on this educational journey. That same year, she launched Women After God’s Own Heart, following the Holy Spirit’s guidance to "Run with the Vision. Run with the Calling. Run in your own lane." For seven years, Natasha has remained steadfast in her purpose, ministering to women at churches, conferences, and community events, helping many heal from past traumas.

Publishing and Ministry Growth

In August 2022, Natasha was inspired to create ‘Mense en Hul Stories: Women Who Has Gone Through the Fire,’ featuring twenty women’s accounts of abuse, violence, and hardship. The book was assembled in two months, and its impact led to subsequent editions and awards. The second edition was released the following year, and the third edition soon after, all sharing powerful testimonies of survival and faith. Natasha’s experience motivated her to start Nat’s Devine Connections, assisting others in telling their stories. She authored ‘Gebede om jou dag te begin’ after a spiritual encounter during a family holiday, compiling prayers from the Bible and their transformative effects.

Recent Challenges and Inspiration

Natasha is currently working on the fourth edition of ‘Mense en Hul Stories: Women Who Has Gone Through the Fire.’ In July 2024, she lost her eldest daughter to colon cancer, a tragedy that tested and deepened her understanding of family and motherhood. This painful experience inspired her to write her seventh book, ‘A Mother’s Love: What a mother wouldn’t do,’ focusing on cancer journeys and stories of mothers who have lost children, aiming to offer encouragement and solidarity.

Personal Testimonies and Endurance

Natasha and Jaco faced challenges in starting a family, experiencing miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy before undergoing IVF after 13 years of marriage. Through prayer and faith, Natasha saw visions of her daughters. She also endured the loss of her younger brother at age 24. These personal trials have become testimonies that she now shares to encourage others, teaching resilience and acceptance of life’s circumstances.

Reflections and Final Words

Natasha reflects on her journey of faith, gratitude, and achievement, attributing everything to God’s grace and her husband’s support. She emphasises the importance of running with the vision God has given, operating in obedience and giving her best, inspired by Jesus’s sacrifice. She encourages others to do likewise, trusting in God’s blessings and guidance.
